I have given up on the whole notion of 'style' as well. My only goals are to draw well, and to at least try to make the next drawing I do, better then the last one I did. I think that mentality will serve better than trying to fit yourself into a style.
I *finally* think I may be able to get to my mermaid for you. I changed my whole notion on the design... so I kind of have to start over
Yeah, I'm just tired of worrying if the style or the lines or whatever is good enough. It really feels like it's holding me back from the enjoyment I used to get from drawing... It's time to just have fun again.
Your mermaid is going to kick ass no matter what. You've already seen mine, which is pretty simple. I still haven't colored it...
